Research
Our research activities are centered on using materials science and engineering approaches to understand fundamental problems, tackle the current/practical challenges, and aid in developing the next-generation electrochemical-based devices.
Our research activities include:
- Li-ion batteries. We work in almost every aspect of Li-ion batteries to support the upcoming battery industries in Indonesia. In addition to synthesizing and recycling the electrode materials, we are also exploring computational studies and data science approaches to push the performance of Li-ion batteries further.
- Electrocatalysis. We explore materials for catalysts in oxygen reduction reaction, oxygen evolution reaction, and hydrogen evolution reaction. The catalysts are applied in metal-air batteries, fuel cells, and water splitting.
- Electrochemical-based technique and devices. Our lab facilities support various electrochemical-based testing and development of other electrochemical-based devices, such as supercapacitors and wearable batteries.
